New Haven

What We Do

The City of New Haven, Gateway Community College, and other core partners are committed to improving the lives of our residents through greater access to job training and career pathways in the field of IT. This commitment is based on our shared interest to work together in new ways in order to create the possibility of new outcomes for those that we serve, particularly the opportunity to earn a living wage by overcoming complex barriers with wraparound services, accelerated training, and apprenticeship-to-employment pipelines. Our primary focus will be individuals with limited English proficiency as a Special Population. We will also target veterans, individuals with criminal records, as well as front-line incumbent and dislocated workers. By aligning employer need with job seeker training through strategic partnerships and implementation, our goal is to improve the future employment and financial stability of our communities while also increasing regional competitiveness and growth of IT employers.
