What We Do

Rich in human resiliency, creativity, innovation, and cultural diversity, the region of “Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico” includes more than 13 predominantly rural counties and 18 indigenous nations. The Community Learning Network is stewarding the TechHire initiative in “Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico” and leading regional efforts to map, expand, and link pathways to tech careers, especially for rural, Native American, and Spanish-speaking community members, plus women, as well as underemployed or unemployed adults. Community Learning Network is teaming with Cultivating Coders, a locally-based accelerated training provider, and other regional civic, business, education, and community organizations to grow the IT pipeline and train more than 500 community members by 2020 for high-demand tech jobs with employers such as the Los Alamos National Laboratory, OpenEye Scientific Software, and Descartes Labs.
